Hi guys,

just to let you know that we are still here, I'll give you a very small but good news about replicators. Our old model had about 7000 triangles, which was... well... way too much. In order to still have some replicators in-game, I decided to redo the model today. The result is a model that comes up with 50 triangles (see attached picture). I reduced the poly-count by using simple plane-modelling. The result itself is... ok... keeping in mind that we only have 50 triangles and giving us the possibility to spawn like a few hundred of them at once! You probably can imagine what we can do with these little crawlers now. Wink

They already can stand around and walk, and soon they are able to attack the player... soooooo: hundreds of replicators attacking the player in a... hmm... small corridor... that's gonna be fun, I think. Wink With the right creepy sound the replicators do while moving, they are going to make you feel creepy. Grin Hopefully. Tongue

It looks as good as the old one and u use 20 times less those things^^, cant wait to get playing this game. I hope u add sparks on the goa'uld armor when they are being hit tau'ri weapons cos i played battlefield 1942 sg mod and it didnt have sparks and i was sad  Sad Cry

Yes metal parts of Goa'uld players will spark when shot.
We also crave this feature.
