Post your weapon idea:
-Like a levitating Tac with camera in it,as sniper or something

Maybe your idea get used for this Mod

One off the major problems that we have,is to found a good Goa'uld weapon. On the Ta'uri side is that not a big deal, there we have near unlimited resources ,but the resources on the Gou'uld side are very rare and not every simple jaffa runs arround with a Hand-device or Invisible-belt.The Tv episode doesnt give much room to create new weapons.Like a Sniper or something.
Ground weapons are:
-Knife
-Zat
-Staff
-Tac

Special:
Hand-device
Invisibel belt
TER
(maybe the weapon from the episode "Chimera"(But this mod are orentated between episode 1 and 7)

My idea is that:
There are a lot of Systemlords and everone should have theie own Staff-weapons,with differend abilitys

Like:
SOKAR (THE DEVIL):He has a red STAFF
-Shot 2 shots very fast, ive bots hit ,they are deadly. It has a medioum cool down
                              rate.
CHRONOS(THE GREECE):He has a metallic blue STAFF
                            - Shot 1 shot,deadly,has a very slow cool down

APOPHIS(THE AGYPT):He has the Basic STAFF

YU (THE CHINISE):He has a Yellow STAFF
-Has a huge Splash damage and a little smoke or flash effeckt.
The shots are not very deadly, but its has a very very fast slow down rate

That where my ideas, please post yours!!!!

OK, sorry for the rather long post, but I want to put this into context.

Although the idea to introduce staff weapons with different abilities seems like an interesting idea, if those weapons are bound to specific characters, it would probably lead to everyone using the specific character with the respective best weapon. It's just like saying "only O'Neill can use the FN-P90" -- and hence everyone will use the O'Neill character, because the P90 is probably the most balanced human weapon.

However what's true is that the humans have a large variety of weapons to choose from, although we still need to balance them, because as I said it turns out that you would use the P90 most of the time, except maybe grenades for tactical reasons.

So what we would really need is maybe a way to extend the collection of Goa'uld weapons to also have a variety of weapons to choose from. Currently in our playtests the staff weapon is used most of the time, because it has "infinite" ammo. Zat is also used, knife rather seldomly. We still need to implement Tac and Goa'uld grenades, which will improve tactical playing on the Goa'uld side for sure.

One could think about completing the Goa'uld weapon collection maybe with some alien weapon not known fromn the series, because Goa'uld tend to adopt technology they find, so it would be meaningful if it improves gameplay.

What do you think? Thanks to Dedalus@Coe for bringing up the topic!

"Inside" you say? Well, let me tell you my friend, there is no "inside", just a whole lotta "outside"... (O'Neill, 7x21 Lost City (1))
